Invalid Page Fault in Module Excel.exe

I'm trying to open an important excel file and I get an error messaging stating, "Excel caused an invalid page fault in module EXCEL>EXE at 0167:3046dff3."

I've tried opening this file with 3 other computers and get the same error message. I don't have any problems opening other excel files.

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how it can be fixed?

Yes, an error report was done on one of the computers I used. However, I don't have access to that computer until later next week. By the way the computer that produced the error report had Windows NT while my copmuter at home only has Windows 98.

Similar problem, but on only one of two identical computers where the workbook, direct x controls drop down,list boxes & macros were created. Double clicking on unrelated blank cells causes error message. It gets buggy when cells in the source range of the controls gets edited. Cells get populated in unintended places. A complete restore doesn't help, nor does a reinstall of Office 2k or Win98se. Only reformat hard drive & reinstall works.
