I need a to keep an accurate count of my inventory. I built a detailed excel program, But it only works when I fill in every column. For instance. Column 1 is Amount sold, which is done every date, column 2 and 3 is Loose and Cooler, which is a physical count. Column 4 is Supplied, which is done everytime we get a shipment. Column 5 and 6 are Jeff and Shift, which are free beers given to the owner Jeff and to the bartenders after their shift.
I need to keep an accurate count of the inventory, but when a physical count is done the inventory needs to be updated, as well as calculate the difference, such as broken or stolen items. I need history of inventory as well as a history of the difference for each product and a daily difference.

Can anyone help me, I can send you my excel file for better understanding.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
It'll help if you post a shot of your sheet(s) (see the link in my sig for how).

Formulas can't generally keep track of inventory counts, so you'll probably need to use some VBA, but once you post some shots someone should be able to set something up for you.

VBA would also be necessary to build a history, but it's not that hard to do.

HTH,

P.S. I want to be Jeff. :)
