Is there an iPhone app for a desktop Excel workbook, worksheet, or table

I have a few tables that I would love to be able to access on my iPhone. I see that there is an Excel app:

Microsoft Excel

Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it good, so-so, bad?

Does it access the desktop workbook or do I have to create a new workbook in the app?

Are there any there options?

Thanks

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Do you have any tips on how to make that work. I do have the free version of Dropbox.
See rather than keeping the file in desktop save it Dropbox location (You have to install dropbox Desktop app for that)

Then in your phone you can do same and open the file using 'Open with' option - By default Dropbox opens file in it's own platform

Hope I'm sounding all very clear...

It sounds clear. I'll test it and let you know. Thanks

Can I enter data into the sheet on the phone or only look at it?

Do you know if there is something similar for Access desktop database files?

By default it probably opens it in view mode (If I'm correct) and you can shift to Editing Mode

Probably they do so to protect from accidental data entry...

For Access I don't have any idea, I stopped using it years back. So no latest information with me...

Ok, thanks

Did you switch to a different database program or stop doing database work? If you switched, I'd be interested in to what and why.
