Hi all

This is probably one of those questions where there is a simple solution but for what ever reason I am unable to find it.

If I have a #NA value over two cells and wanted to return the value so for the below I would use the formula =IF(ISNA(A1),B1,A1).

My question is, is there a way or a simpler way of bringing back a value over multiple cells rather than using a combination of IF Formulas?

Many thanks all!

Try confirming it with Ctrl Shift Enter, rather than just Enter.
Ah yes !!!

That seems to have it done it!! With out being to annoying is this one of those where it's best not to ask why it works with Ctrl Shift Enter ?

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
As it works on an array of values it needs to be coerced into working on older version of xl, which is what the CSE does.

I am no excel expert but what I took from that response is upgrade your kit.

Thank you for all your help and patience with me on this.

Not really. If your version of xl does what you need then that's fine. :)

Glad to help & thanks for the feedback.

Well it did eventually but more around the point where it needed coercing with this particular formula but coercing isn't required on newer versions.

Have a good week!
