line between rows

Can someone explain pls what the line b/w rows 1 & 2 could possibly mean? Can I delete it when it stands at the bottom of the page? I can totally remove it by clearing all data and deleteing rows, but I need to save my data. Thanks in advance.

It is an object, a drawn line.

In excel 2003, you can select the object pointer, draw a square around the line and that will select the line. You can then press delete to delete the line.

So it has no particular meaning or value in Excel with regards to your data and you can freely delete it without corrupting anything
