Link a text file to worksheet?

I'm working in another program which creates mounds of data in text OUTPUT file that I use excel to crunch. Currently I open the text OUTPUT file and copy/past into a new worksheet and everything is neatly pasted into column A. Is there a way to have the data in column A be linked directly to the text file so that when I update the text file the data can be updated (and hence skip the copy/paste step)? The OUTPUT files are typically 700 rows or so, but can vary. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
