I have a list of "recipes" for meals sold in our restaurants. I have set formulas where I put the amount of sales for an item and it shows how much of each ingredient is used. There are over 1600 rows and 360 ingredients.

I want to use this to set daily re-supply requirements for the stockroom. Is there a formula that will look for the stock code (column A) and accumulate the amounts used (column F) from the whole list?

Some options to consider...

1) Run a pivot table on your data;

2) Try a formula like...

=SUMIF(A:A,X2,F:F)

where X2 houses a stock code of interest.
