Lookup array

I am trying to reference a unique number between 2 worksheets and then automate the extraction of data from one worksheet to the other. I need excel to look up the unique reference number between the 2 worksheets on its own, there are 600 records. I figured out how to do a lookup by referencing the correct number on my own, but would like to automate the process.
