so I have an excel sheet with a macro assigned to a button. I click on the button, it will clear the contents from a range of cell, and input the formulas back in for me so I can use it again.

At my work computer, it works perfectly fine. I forward a copy of the excel sheet to my home computer to test it.

When I click the button, I get an error:
'complie error, named arguement not found'

this in my code is highlighted in blue: "SearchFormat:="

why would it give me an error here but not at work? I dont particularly know what the error itself means(still very new to VBA).

my work pc is office 2003 and I"m using office 2000. unsure if that is the difference. but I have to give a presentation so I want to make sure it works.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest

Well I think the error message is quite straightforward.:)

It's telling you that that argument isn't used with that method, the SearchFormat argument was introduced post-2000.

So just delete the argument - it probably won't make any difference.
