Hi,

I have designed a macros code for my team, which i presently in my personal workbook.

Now, I want to lock the macros code so as to nobody can access it and send it to my team guys, so that each one of them can individually run the macros whenever they need it.

How can it be done???

he's not getting any more luck over on Oz Macros code protection either

Ok Guys,

Here is what I did.

I did take a raw file and copied down the macros from personal workbook to this file and mailed it to the team.

Now, my team guys are able to run the macros in only in the file I mailed them, but not in any other raw files they have.

Now, how do I get the code into there systems or create a template sort if thing for macros, so that they can run it on any files??

Excel Facts

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Have a google for Creating an Excel Add-in - there are far better guides out there than you'll get in a response from a forum

Here's a link to good addin site

How do I create a PERSONAL.XLS(B) or Add-in

Also, have you considered changing your code so that the other users Import their raw data, process it, then are forced to save the file under a new name, clear all the existing data from the original sheet, so they can do it all over again in the same "master" workbook ??

If you're having trouble locating your Personal.xls(b) file
I'd open excel
hit alt-f11 to get to the VBE
hit ctrl-g to see the immediate window
type this and hit enter:
?application.StartupPath

This gives the location. Go to that location, copy and paste the file somewhere else, and rename it. Open that file, and do as suggested in the first post, about protecting the sheet. E-mail that file out to your team.

They will be able to run the macro when they have loaded that file onto their computer. If they already have a personal.xls(b) file, they can copy the module across from your file to their personal.xls(b) file, and have the macro available each time they open excel.
