There's something on my Office 365 Excel Main interface that I'd like to get rid of, but I don't know what it is, or how to remove it.
It's an area between the Formula Bar and the Column Letters. It allows me to hide columns A & B by clicking on a little box, but I don't know how it got there, or how to remove it.
The 2 pics show the before and after clicking in the small box at the end of the line.
How do I remove this feature from the main Interface, as I don't need, or want it?
TIA

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
hi mykll7,
Welcome to the board.

This is the outline in your excel worksheet. As you already know, it is used to group together columns and/or rows, and provides a good way to notify that columns have been collapsed in the worksheet, rather then hiding them.

you can get rid of it by going to Data Tab and selecting ungroup under Outline.
