Hi Everyone,

I have two small problems that I can't figure out. Pls, help!!!!

1) Can I get Excel to automatically assign numbers when data is entered
into a specific cell?

2) Can I get Excel to automatically enter specific text (TR) when
information is entered into another cell?

Any help would be appreciated.

EXAMPLE:

A B C

24 Data Data
25 Data Data
26 Data X

When they put data where the X is I would like to next # to pop up under #26 in col. A

On a seperate sheet I would like the letters TR to pop up after data is entered in the previous row in col C.I hope I am not confusing you further.

Either way thanks for trying to help.

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Hi Tramari

You're going to have to be more specific. I'm not clear what you are after
