Matching date entry

I have a table with a range of dates. Additionally I have a table with only a few of those dates and accompanying data entries. I need to be able fill in these entries into the corresponding dates in my first table leaving blank the cells next to the dates where there are no entries. Both vba and non-vba answers are welcome.
