I have two worksheets A and B.
I would like to compare a PO Col A on worksheet A, Row A2:A40 against Col A RowA2:A40 on worksheet B and if the PO's are on both worksheets, I would like to copy the status col , Col K K2:K40 from worksheet A onto worksheet B col K, K2:K40.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
How about
=IFERROR(INDEX(SheetA!K$2:K$40,MATCH(A2,SheetA!A$2:A$40,0)),"")

I know you say a document is not the preferred way to do this but I can not download the excel spreadsheet you want.
The above formula did not work the columns and status don't end up matching. Do you have an email I can send the spreadsheets to?

So frustrating, I can't get this to work! It has to be something basic and I'm not getting it. I moved the xl2bb.xlam to my desktop but after that I am confused.

Once you have downloaded and installed, you will need to activate. On the Developer Tab and then it will appear as a new tab

Ok, So I did that. when I try and upload my spreadsheet I get the message " I don't have the allowed extension". Do I need to do something to the spreadsheet before I upload it?

You don't upload a sheet, just read the page I linked to & it tells you how to use the add-in.
