Dear All,

I'm preparing a report which Budget Vs Actual comparison in Powerpivot. My Actual data comes from SQL server through Powerquery data loader by writting a sql query. But My Budget values are comes from Excel tables which saved my PC. I want to merge the power query output and my excel data together. Can someone share the ideas....SQL actual data refresh auto on daily basis...

Thanks
Suresh:eek::confused::confused::confused:

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Question is probably a bit too broad to really help. I would start by googling "powerpivot budget vs actuals" -- as there are a number of articles/videos on the subject.

Unless you literally meant "join the two tables together into 1 (powerpivot) table"... where my answer would just be "don't do that". :)

So you can directly load your PowerQuery results into your PP model.
I'd use PQ to cleanup and shape of data before sending it to PP. So whether you take your budget through PQ into PP or directly, depends on the data quality in your table.
The comparisons between actual and figures are normally best done in PP.
