I have created a workbook and it’s got few Visual Basic scripts for controls. Most of the controls are command buttons and it’s got text boxes and spin buttons as well.

The problem is that the workbook works fine for me especially in my machine. Anybody else who tries to open the worksheet and use any of the controls ends up with a General Excel error followed by closing the whole Excel application

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
The problem may be that you are using controls from the Controls toolbox (rather than Forms) which are extremely bug-ridden. More features, more bugs.

Try temporarily removing the spin button controls to see if the error persists. I can't see any problems with simple command buttons.

You do not say whether the other machines are Excel 97 - although there should not be problems if they are using later versions.

If you spent a long time setting up the workbook it could be just the result of that. It is often necessary to set the thing up from scratch once the problems have been ironed out.

Clean code by copy/pasting into NotePad, deleting the old module and paste back into a new one.
