I have input my formula and for the values in the column only 1/2 are correct.
this is my formula =(K35-L35)*G35

The value of k35 is $12.60
the value of l35 is $12.12
the value of g35 is 16000

the correct amount is $7680.00
my excel is showing $7753.00

it has done this for several cells in the same column. Anyone know what the issue is?
Thanks!

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
I get 7680, the same as you say it should be

Check your cells to make sure they don't contain more than just 2 decimal places.
eg K35 could SHOW 12.60, but if you look at the actual contents, it could be 12.60123456

When I use your scenario, the formula returns the correct value.
Try checking your calculation settings:
• Formulas.Calculation....It should be set to Automatic.
Is it?

Hi,

Chances are, $7753.00 is actually closer to the correct result than $7680.00...
Your K35 and L35 values are probably the result of formulas?
If you want $7680 as your result, you could wrap your K35 and L35 formulas with a ROUND function, like:

=ROUND(K35 formula,2)
=ROUND(L35 formula,2)

IF that's what you want.
