Need Help creating a size to weight metal conversion calculator

Thank you for your help, I need to create a calculator from a paper reference chart.

Page 51 - Myron Toback 2009 Catalog

above is a link to the page in my catalog.

What I have currently is a spreadsheet with 3 sheets.

Sheet 1 is text that has a dropdown for thickness and next to it is a dropdown for metal.
Sheet 2 is the sheet metal calculator
Sheet 3 is the wire calculator

I was thinking to use vlookup to bring the value and then multiply this value by the square inch or length.

I am asking what the correct sequence of formula's I would need to make the output equal the point between thickness and metal

I have windows 7 and excel 2010.
