Hi All, I am just starting out and trying to learn Excel, no idea about vbs sorry. I am thinking that I need to use a vlookup but just not sure how.

What I am essentially trying to do is if a persons name comes up on a column then assign the person who is looking after him.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
hi Folks, don't know if I worded the above wrong or not but any advice would be much appreciated.

Essentially I am looking to search a column and if a name appears to put a name in a separate column. Can this be done?
Essentially I want to search column b and identify if Ian, Raymonde, Dirk or Billy appear to assign the name of Russell to column c. If Stuart, Steven or Jon appear in column b then in column C I would like Alastair to appear. Finally, if Ajith, Sunil Mohamad appear in column b I would like Alex to appear in column c

Any help much appreciated
