Number Format

I am trying to format one column of my worksheet to scientific notation and am trying to use:

ActiveSheet.Columns("A").NumberFormat = "Scientific"

but its not working... I don't know why since I'm not good at this and was hoping someone maybe knew why or had a suggestion for a better way of ding this.

Try

.NumberFormat = "0.00E+00"

actually, I didn't think of it either. The Macro Recorder did.
