Hi,

When I enter a number like this; 3450982 and I try to break it out into millions and thousands, it is showing up like this 3450,982 instead of 3,450,982.

I have tried using the custom number feature and it is still not showing up the way I want it to. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Hi,

Try this custom number format:
#,##0

Or in the 'Format Cells' area, simply choose 'Number', tick 'Use 1000 Separator (,)' and set 'Decimal places:' to 0 (or whatever you want).

Just change your comma style and decrease your decimals by two places and you should be good...no need for a "custom" format...

Hi,

Thanks. Where do I go to "change the comma style"? Also, I never had this problem before until I started using Excel 2010. Why is the default setting formatted like this?

Thanks again

Hi,

Under select format cells (Control+1) then select custom and paste the below formula.

###,000,##0

Thanks,
