Hi Folks

Bit of a bizarre one here. I just fitted a new keyboard to my laptop, this is a genuine like for like replacement. Now when I press the forward slash key in a new cell it invokes Excel into a behaviour expected from pressing alt. If I type a space or press F2 to enter the cell the key works fine, as it does in any other program without a hitch.

Any ideas what might be causing this bizarre behaviour? My region settings are set to UK and my keyboard is UK layout.

Thanks

Dave

Hello,

have a look in the Excel Options.

It's called Transition navigation keys, and is still there for compatibility reasons.

In my Excel 2007 installation, I have the same behavior, since the / is set as the MS Office Excel menu key.

Cool, well it was unchecked so I just deleted the / from the box and voila, problem solved. Thanks
