Opening a workbook shsows nothing

I have a workbook that everyone in the office but me can access. When i try to open it, it goes through the motions of opening the workbook as normal, but then in the formula bar shows the text that is in the selected cell, but no workbook or sheets; just the grey background of excel.

Have tried rebooting and the workbook is not hidden. Can anyone help?
