I have a large spreadsheet containing lots of data. (or will have).

In one of the columns will be text containing either:

in progress
Complete
Outstanding
etc.

I need a macro that when run shows only the rows containing my selected text crtieria. For example I will have a button i can assign the macro to named "Complete". Once pressed only rows containing COMPLETE in a column will be shown.

I have also grouped rows so not sure if this will be a problem.

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
This sounds to me like auto filter. Have you tried recording the macro ?

Sometimes the easiest methods stare you in the face and you miss them..... Auto filter works fine, thank you.
