Overlapping Waterfall Chart

I have a waterfall chart (for no reason other than I thought it would be different) with costs up one side for various dates along the other. This works, I've got this bit sorted, pretty confident at the selecting of cells.

What I want to have is another set of data that isn't the same size, but falls within the same time period, to be added to the waterfall chart. Is this possible or is the advice to be change chart type to a line/bar chart (cause I could do that quite easily but for the sake of being difficult I want to keep it as a waterfall chart).

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
