Hi Mr Excel - Can someone help please.

I've have some data that looks at areas and the number of complaints per area. This is sitting on a dashboard in a standard bar chart visualisation.
It occurred to me that some areas have a higher population per area - so I'd like to work out a complaints 'per 10,000 population' chart.

My Current table list all the complaints with an area column.

I have the population per area, so have and have added a new table to the model with this data, and created a relationship using area. In this table the 4 areas are listed along with the population, and the number I need to multiply the complaints by to give the complaints per 10,000 pop.

Can someone tell me how to write a measure that would help me show complaints per 10,000 in a visual?

Thanks -

Charlie.

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Since your per capita value is (probably) going to be so much smaller than your "totals" value (perhaps by orders of magnitude), you'll probably want to show the smaller values on a secondary axis for visibility.

Aside from that advice, I'm not really sure what you mean by "write a measure", since it sounds like you already have the data that you want.
