I have created a pivot table and filtered it to show only the top 5 results. However, I have multiple threads of data that contain the same value and as such, the top 5 pivot table shows more than 5 results. Is there anyway to lock this to 5 only?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

The method below will give you only the top five rows.

Code:
Sub SumTop5()
Dim pt As PivotTable
Set pt = ActiveSheet.PivotTables("pivot3")
pt.PivotFields("company").PivotFilters.Add2 Type:=xlTopSum, _
DataField:=pt.PivotFields("SalesSum"), _
Value1:=WorksheetFunction.Sum(pt.DataBodyRange.Rows("1:5"))
End Sub
