Pivot Table Update Does Not Reflect Data Changes

I have a data table that includes all 2010 sales data. I have created a pivot table that draws from this data. When I add in the 2011 sales data, and change the data range for the pivot table, I don't see the 2011 data. The only way to see the 2011 data is to delete the existing pivot table and create a new one.

This is a very frustrating problem, because logically is does not make sense that the Pivot table references a subset of the data you intent it to.

I am currently using MicroSoft Excel 2007, SP2.

Thank you in advance for your help.
