I just got some update and now when I copy and paste a pivot table and make changes to the new table is reflects across the first also. I am using the same data source and I have even created the second pivot but it wants to still duplicate it especially across the grouping of the "group field" the first I want it to remain monthly but the second I was to add a few items, by personnel and also wanted the group in 7 day increments and when I change in the second it reflects across the first. Before the update I did not have this issue. Any help to get this corrected so it wont happen in the future on a permeant basis would be good.

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
When you copy a pivot table you create the new pivot table that uses the "same pivot cache".
Pivot tables that share a pivot cache also share any Grouping that is applied and any Calculated Fields created. Also when you refresh one you refresh all the pivots using the same cache.

If you want to apply different grouping to the 2 pivot tables you need to get them to have their own cache.
Here is one way of achieving that and it probably less fiddly than some of the other methods.
It involved moving the pivot to another workbook and then back again.
