a range I think

He's an example

I type in a value say A1 for example

I want A2 to lookup a varble range ie

if it's between

0 - 100 = 10
100 - 200 = 18
200 - 300 = 25

so A2 would give the answer of 18 if the A1 field said 156 say

I hope I've expalined my self

many thanks Wayne

Any advice welcome

Hit enter immediately after typing TABLE in the Name Box while A2:B5 stays selected.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
OK I been playing

Have a spot of bother I have been reading this site

http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/variablerate.html

Very interesting however when I have tried I get the wrong answer...

This is was I'm trying to achieve

At 29.99 there is a 5.25% Charge = 1.57
At 10.01 there is a 3.25% Charge = 0.33
TOT 40.00 _________________________1.90

I have been using this line

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1>{0;29.99;100}), (A1-{0;29.99;100}), {0.0525;0.002;0})

However I get 2.12 with string above as a answer

The 5.25% works and from what I been reading

I minus 3.25 from 5.25 which gives the 0.002

So where have I gone wrong on this line of code... Any ideas any one

All advice welcome

Many thanks Wayne
