Hi All,

i have a drop list that displays data, what i want is when i select one of those from the list to populate text from different tables on another sheet that relate to the selected drop... is this possible?

What do you get with the formula in post#19?

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
In that case the value is B1 is not the same as the name of one of your tables.
The values in B1 must exactly match the name of a table.

i am at a loss then didnt realise t would be so complicated to just display a comment from a different table for each company :(

It's not complicated, if you change the table names to reflect the values in B1, or change the values in B1 to reflect your table names.
Another option is to create a list with the values in B1 in one column & the relevant table name in the next column, you could use Vlookup.

That makes it even easier, as you have the new dynamic array functions.
If you want the list to start in E2, make sure all the cells below are empty & use
=INDEX(INDIRECT($B$1),0)
This will automatically spill down as far as needed.

Did you delete the contents of the cells below where you entered the formula?
