PowerMap, can I filter data from the map?

If I have a customer sales table that contains multiple years of sales, can I filter only the year I want to see from the map? Or should I continue filtering sales in a Calculate measure from the PP table?
 

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
