PowerPivot unhandled exception error only when double-clicking Excel file

Hello,

I am getting a Power Pivot unhandled exception error ONLY when double-clicking any Excel file. Error is below.

If I start Excel, then choose File > Open and open the file in this method, the error does NOT occur.

When the exception occurs, I have to re-enable the PowerPivot add-in.

I have seen some references to this error on google searches, but no mention of it only happening on double-clicking a file to open.

Any ideas?

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
