Is there a way to tell excel to ignore certain data before populating a pivot table? I have my data formatted as a table, but there are some data that isn't necessary to have in the pivot table (i.e. I don't need to account for blanks, etc.) Can one incorporate an "if statement" to help pre-filter what you want in the pivot table?

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
