Project Management Workbooks

I am trying to create a timekeeping/project management workbook. There is a "Dashboard" workbook used by managers and an individual workbook for each employee that feeds hours worked to the master Dashboard workbook.

My problem: The Dashboard workbook contains a column for "Project Name" and columns for each individual ("Ryan," for example). If the individual is assigned to a project (an "X" would be entered in the "Ryan" column), then I need a column on Ryan's individual timesheet to populate with the project name. There would be numerous projects and each individual would have multiple projects assigned.

So, I need a formula (or macro, I guess) to run through "Ryan" column and if, 1)an "X" is displayed, and 2)the project name has not yet been displayed in the "Project" column on Ryan's individual timesheet, then, the project name is copied over to the "Project" column.

I'm a novice. Any advice or direction is deeply appreciated. HELP!

Hi,
would need to know what we are dealing with like example workbook which id say is not going to happen, BUT if all you need is to test then look at the IF formula. In the destination where you want to name you can use IF and possible some other formula with it like MATCH

I've attached a couple photos below that should help clarify.
