Protecting sheet does not allow sorting

I am using code to protect my sheet with a password and have the AllowFiltering property set to true, it allows me to filter but I get the error below when trying to sort, what ami doing wrong?

ActiveSheet.Protect Password:="test", AllowFiltering:=True
