Could someone tell me how I can rearrange data I receive in an E -mail every day. I would like to set up a template or a (program or whatever - apologies I am not that computer literate & don't understand all the different terminology).

The data comes through as follows:

Any Dane Now Moe R1 No 2
Danatina Rockhampton R1 No 6

etc etc.

I would like to list the data as follows:

Moe
R1 Any Dane Now
R2 Tova

Rockhampton
R1 Danatina
R2 Hoplite

etc etc

In other words the data is coming through in alphabetical order but I want to resort it into town & race no order.

Would it be better done in word or some other program?

Thanking you all in anticipation

Tim C

PS I can send anyone a list if they need to access it

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Not sure really what you are looking for but it sounds like you may need to use the transpose function

Am assuming that the data is part of the email.

Is there a way that you get the sender to send as a delimited file?
Then the end result that you are after is a piece of cake - as you just open in excel and create a pivot - can help you there!
