Reminders

How do I get a reminder to come up when I enter a certain number in a column? This is such a simple thing for this program to do, I simply cannot figure it out!

Here's a quick example that you might be able to fit to your needs:

Easiest would be to use data validation. Let's say you want a reminder whenever you enter 5 in cell A1. <ul>[*]From the menu Data | Validation...[*]Then in Allow, pick Custom and in Formula put =A1<>5[*]Then on the Error Alert tab, pick a style of Information and then type in a title and your reminder.[/list]

Welcome. Assuming the value is 2 and the column is C:

You can use data validation on each cell in the column (See Data Menu, Validtaion). Excel help is pretty good in this area.

Another option:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Column = 3 And ActiveCell.Value = 2 Then MsgBox ("Change value")
End Sub

You need to enter this in VBA.
Press Alt-F11
Double click on the sheet you want it in in the left pane
Paste in the above code.
