How do I change a large range of hyperlinks to just plain text?

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".

1. Put the number 1 into a cell
2. Right click - Copy
3. Select the range with the hyperlinks in it (you may have to start one row above or below the range in order to be able to select without activating a link)
4. Right click - Paste Special...
5. Check the "multiply" option in the Operation section
6. Click OK

This "multiples" the values by 1, which converts them back to plain text.

Or, just download ASAP Utilities, select what cells you want to change, then go to ASAP Utilities|Web|Remove all hyperlinks in selected cells.

Sounds easier to me, personally, but do what ye will :)

or from the vba editor you can use this line

Sub RemoveHyperLinks()
'Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+Q
ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks.Delete
End Sub

this will delete all hyperlinks in the activesheet.

i placed this in my Personl.xls file - a file that i have in the Xlstart folder and contains many functions and routines i use on a daily basis.
