Replacement Issue

Hi,

I have a worksheet with about 1600 links to another workbook:
Now I've tried to replace the link af that workbook to another workbook by using the replace commando (CRTL+H) and pushed the replace all button.

The problem now is that I accidently typed a wrong name for the new workbook and excel is asking me 1600 times which file I want to link with.
Is there a way to stop this. I think I've tried already of keyboard combinations but none were succesful.

Thx for helping me out.
Aga

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Hi,

Not sure if you can stop it in Excel.

Assuming you'd saved it before doing the replace I'd probably kill Excel with the task manager and start again.

Open a blank workbook and run a macro with the following line:

application.dispalyalerts = false

Then open your workbook and see if that works. My guess is that it might not! Either way, you'll have to run the macro again and set displayalerts to True once you're done.
