Hi guys

I need to write a formula that will automatically reduce the retention claim amount. So at the moment retention is kept at 10% each claim until 5% of the Main Contract Price is reached.

For example: The Main contract price $2,231,435.00

5% of this is $111,571.75 (this is the maximum our clients can keep)

Each claim we put in, our clients can take 10% of this.

So I have got the formula for that, but I need it to reduce the retention amount to ensure it does not exceed the maximum claim amount

I have spreadsheet, but cannot for the life of me find out where to put this in the thread.

Hope someone can help

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
