Is there any function to search a value in an Array, without looping thru the array?

Perhaps the Match function:

Code:
Sub test()
Dim x, fvalue As Integer, lu
x = Array(7, 3, 5, 2, 6)
fvalue = 5
lu = Application.Match(fvalue, x, 0)
If IsError(lu) Then
    MsgBox "Value Not Found"
Else
    MsgBox "Value found in the array at position " & lu
End If
End Sub

Thanks. It is working if it found a value, else it is giving "Type Msmatch" error.

Also I am not able to find any help on this function by pressin CTRL+F1.

And what does zero in the end means?

Regards,
Yeheya

It's the MATCH worksheet function (some but not all worksheet functions can be used in VBA code, lookup WorksheetFunction in VBA help), the 0 at the end is the numeric equivalent of False, meaning it must find an exact match.

Can you post the code as you have it now and some more details about what you are trying to do?
