Hey Guys,
I have puled up an old sheet and need to make some changes and additions, but i have done something i cannot remember how to undo.

to the right of the last column of cells i was working in and below the last row of cells I removed the additional cells. I hit shift+ctrl+ arrow key and apparently deleted the cells. So all i have left is the group of cells i needed to show.
Is there a way to bring those back?

Thanks for the help

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
CTRL Z is the undo command.
Or, as long as you haven't saved it after making those changes, close the file without saving and then re-open it.

Try <ctrl-Z> or hit the undo button (arrow) and see if it brings it back. If it ran some kind of marco or VBA code though then it is lost. If you didn't save the sheet just close it out and don't save and reopen.

I will try it now. This is an old file so it has been saved.

Thanks for the help, but ctrl Z didnt work

what i ended up doing was selecting all the cells and then going to formatting on the home tab and unhiding.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and jogging my memory.
I always get great help here

This is an old file so it has been saved.
Just to be clear, we meant "has it been saved SINCE you made those changes you want to undo". If not, simply close the file and re-open it.
If it has been saved since those changes you want to undo, unless you have a backup of the file saved somewhere, you are probably out of luck.
