Hi I have a Sales power pivot table. And would like to select the Month from slicer 1. And have Slicer 2 with dates only show this month.

IE Select July and then it will show all the dates within July. Then I can select July 9 and it will only show that days sales.

I need to have one slicer dependent off another slicer.

Can this be done?

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
I'd split month and day into two columns. Then you'd be good-to-go. If you put just month in a column and then keep the entire date field in the 2nd, then you'll end up with the second slicer listing 330 or so grayed out dates. BUT, if you think users would want to pick and choose dates from more than one month, i.e. January 27th through February 18th or whatever, then you'd need to have link the second slicer to the full date and just live with the bunch of grayed out individual dates.
Note that if your dates cover more than one year, you'll want a slicer/filter for year too.
