I have 2 sets of simultaneous equations to solve using solver. When I try to get values of X and Y it says that there is no feasible solution when actual values of X and Y exist. Can someone help me use solver to find the values? I may have done something wrong.

2 Equations:
10^12 = x^2 * Y
2 = (3*Y)/X

I set 2 cells as variable cells (C8 for X, and C9 for Y) and used these cells for equations. =C8^2 * C9 and = 3*C9/C8. Then I set objective as the first equation (=C8^2*C9) and set value of 10^12. I then added a constraint which was the second equation (=3*C9/C8) and set that equal to 2. Then I pressed solve and excel says there are no feasible solutions

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I may have done something wrong.
Solver can only solve for 1 variable.

So use substitution method for one variable and make a fresh equation to solve.

Let me see if I can demonstrate it for you using XL2BB

Book1
ABCDE
110^12 = x^2 * YX = 0
22 = (3*Y)/XY=2X/30
3This implies
42X=3Y
5Y=2X/3
6Now,
710^12 = x^2 * Y
810^12 = x^2 * (2X/3)
901E+12
10Find Value of Cell A9 using Goal seek by Changing Cell D1
11Since I use Excel 2021 cant find value of 10^12
12But it is possible in Excel 365
Sheet1
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
D2D2=2*D1/3
A9A9=D1^2*(2*D1/3)
B9B9=10^12

Thanks for the response, but I need to use the solver add-in not goal seek. solver can solve for 2 variables as I have done it before with different equations but for some reason with thsee equation it doesn’t work.

Still you can only find value of 1 variable at a time...

Hope someone better than me is able to help you out.
Maybe I am misunderstanding you. What do you mean by it can only find the value of 1 variable.
