I know how to insert a drop down list containing a range of cells (e.g. F68:F78).
But I wonder if there is a way to make this into a spin button, so I can go through the values by clicking the up and down arrows without opening the drop down list.

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.

Create a spin button and link it to a cell. Then in your cell use an INDEX formula to reference the number in the linked cell.

However, you can do this with user selection in the cell, or the spin button, but not both. If the user directly enters a value it will wipe out the formula.

The only way to do it both ways is with VBA. Let us know if that's what you need.

This is exactly what I was looking for.
The drop down list was a work around, so I removed that and use only the spin button.

Thanks a lot!

You may want to consider locking the cell and protecting the sheet to prevent a user from wiping out the formula.
