Splitting data into multiple columns

I have one column of data which has multiple parts of data (surname, first name, number etc.) which I need to split into separate columns. The problem is each part of the data is not the same length in characters (e.g. surname can vary wildly), although all data items are split by a space or comma.

Is there any (easy) way/formula I can split these out?

Thank you

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
From the Data menu - Select text to Columns.

Select Delimited

Select Space as the Delimiter.
