Splitting text problem in Excel

Hi All,

I have a problem with splitting text in excel.


I have 1099 cells in a sheet. each cell has Title + Description + Some text that needs to be removed.


I tried text to columns but it is not helping in this case.


Find and replace may not work also. Because pattern is not the same for each cell.

Pattern is not same in all cells. Some have br tags in ending of these lines and have p tags in start and end of these lines.

It's not clear to me where you want to split each cell. The HTML is not well-formed: a < p> isn't always followed by a < /p>.

You can try opening or pasting the text into Word. Use word's replace to exchange all< p>'s with a tab. Save the word file as text, with a .txt extension. Open that .txt file from within Excel, not from a file manager or a Desktop icon—we want the text wizard to open up. Select delimited, then tab as the cell separator, then finish. Maybe this will get you close.

Edit: The darn < sign messed the format up. I have inserted spaces between < and p> that aren't there in the original post.
