I have large spreadsheet that I use to bid on construction projects that I need to have 10 to 12 users in simultaneously sharing the spreadsheet and entering numbers, running macros, sorting, filtering, adding rows, etc.....

We tried this in Excel on our local area network and had lots of problems with the spreadsheet crashing for reasons we could never determine, other than Excel is just not capable of sharing with so many users at once.

We have been using Google Documents successfully, but with a much simpler spreadsheet that doesn't really meet our needs.

I am looking for a way to share a fully functional spreadsheet, including macros, with 10 to 12 or more users that is stable and reliable.

Anybody have any ideas?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
It is possible to have a shared spreadsheet, but the problem is that it is prone to corruption.

I would not recommend using excel for this. It is possible though.

I agree with this most whole-heartedly .... find something other than Excel.
