Hi all,

I am looking For Straight Line (Horizontal) to be used in P/E Trading COMPS.

Please see link below to get the sample sheet where i drawn it using drawing tools i am hoping to get it in excel chart.

http://www.4shared.com/file/UF_lowRA/Sample_book.html

it has straight line (horizontal) with min and max P/E multiple as end Points(5,50)

between the line there will be individual company P/E (say 15X) represented by marker(triangle) and next to it 25x industry P/E marker(rectangle).

Data set will be same 4 data points.

Apologies if it is not clear i am not sure know to put drawings questions to post using Jeanie.

Thanks

Hi,

Where will u be posting tutorial? i will be waiting for it.

As i said i will be using it in relative valuation tab of financial model,to show individual co P/e p/b peg etc to compare with in industry.

"DO you need multiple graphs of these on the same chart?"

currently i am planning use combo box to change data for each of above mentioned type. so not sure how to use multiple items to show in 1 chart.if you can post would be great to look into it.

thanks again

Yes it is one chart at the moment. You can change the numbers below the chart and move the points and line. I will post a file next week as I just got some recorder software. Thanks for the reminder

Hi excelsishya,

I have posted part 1 of the tutorial just last Friday and the next detailed video turtorial will be posted by Friday of this week (if not Sooner as i am still working on the web design part of my site as well)

Can you please let me know how you are using it so that i can add that too my tutorial information for the readers on how/why to use these types of charts?

Also, are there any enhancements to the template i sent you originally? For Example, would you like to see multiple companies on the same line or multiple lines in the same chart for each company or some other changes? If so, I will include those in the demo. Let me know.

You can see part 1 of the turtorial here:

Steve thanks for sharing tutorial link.

In financial model we construct tab called relative valuation.
Where individual company (for which model is built) valuation multiples other than DCF are compared with other company within same industry.

eg price earning(P/E) ,EPS, price to book value(PBV),Price to sales(PS) ,PEG etc

there to show how companies particular multiple is performing against industry best worst average i am using this chart.

Regarding Enhacements-

1.Would like see combo box which can change multiples- currently showing P/E, to PEG ,EPS etc

2. If possible 3-4 multiples displaying at same time.(current only 1 mutiple(pe) is displaying)

Also if possible u can make it visualy more attractive , lets say once marker crosses average it turns green , other wise red.

I will be looking forward to next part.

Thanks
